So Day 6 is supposed to be 5 foods but I didn't want to trigger anyone (including myself) so I'm going to share some of my favorite artists instead :) Also, I just find art much more worth while than food.
Artist #1 - Allison Elizabeth Harvard
"Autre"
Inspiring. She looks so emotionally strong and sure of herself.
"Oh, Dana"
"Mermaids"
Artist #2 - Heather Hannoura
"Logo for Alkaline Trio"
My favorite band <3
"Cold Hands, Warm Heart"
"Miss Manners"
Artist #3 - Ruth Gwily
"Child Molesting"
This is one of my favorite pieces ever! I believe art should evoke emotion and this one does just that. I feel sick and angry when I look at it. It honestly gives me chills, it scares me that badly. Gwily is AMAZING.
"Depression"
"Pro Ana Blogs on the Internet"
I think we can all relate to this one.
Artist #4 - Kristen Ferrel
"Childbirth Saint"
"Molester"
"Girls"
This one actually inspired my SIlence poem that I wrote and posted for To Write Love on Her Arms Day. That particular poem is about the girls on the left. I should post the one I wrote about the girl on the right sometime...
Artists #5 - Blu
A selection from his 1st sketchbook.
Statement art! I love it.
A selection from his 2nd sketchbook.
And more statement art :D
Graffiti in Rennes, France.
Hope you like these! Let me know which ones are your favorites and/or what you think true art is.
Also- if you have any artists you want to share with me I'd be infinitely grateful. I'm always looking for more art.
