Her Secret

A poem I wrote about my dear friend Paige who I met in the hospital while in treatment for our eating disorders ♥

                                Her Secret

                               Cheeks a rosy coral

                               Lips a crimson tide

                               Eyes that glow, like sea glass in snow

                                       And she's the girl you want to hide

                                A voice as airy as sea foam

                                And with a surge across the reef

                               Her song will carry to the beaches

                                       But she's the secret that you keep

                               She's as dark and deep as the sea can get

                               But still, she reflects the stars

                               And you're the girl who hides her

                                        So that people won't know who you are.
